  • This question intrigues me as it is something I have wondered about. You would think that goth teens would not want to be hassled the last thing they want is to be stared or God forbid asked question by a bunch of mundanes. But outlandish make up and dress invite stares and questions. It is quite comical to image a kid with dyed black hair in fishnets, platform shoes and black patent leather trench coat saying "I just want to be left alone and treated normally?" Why dress in an attention arousing manner if you don't want to be the subject of attention.

    Also the poster says that they feel most comfortable in leather, fishnet, and chains. I must assume that their definition of comfort is very different that mine because I am most comfortable in my PJ's.
