Snes vs genesis

One of the biggest battles in the history of mankind. Which console do you think was superior?

Sega Genesis 3

Also, have you seen these systems by analogue?

The first console I played on was a SNES. I'll have to go with that one for that reason. I never got to play Sega Genesis very much, but I know that they had some awesome games, graphics, and music. I'd like to get into it eventually, probably through emulation or something. My friend was just telling me last night that he wants to build an all-in-one arcade machine when he gets his own place someday. I think that'd be a pretty cool project.

What is your choice, OP? What are some of your favorite games on them?

    • I've played a bit of Genesis though, and I thought it was good. I wasn't a huge fan of it's controller though. Some good games would be

      Golden Axe
      Sonic ( obviously )
      Phantasy Star
Fighting games in general, better on genesis.
Sports games in general, better on genesis.

I've never played golden axe or phantasy Star. I'm familiar with the names though. Did you ever play any of the mortal Kombat games?

        • No, only Street Fighter. I've never been a huge fan of fighting games tbh. But from what I've heard, if you're into those types of games, then Genesis is supposedly better.

    • Personally, I have much more experience with the SNES. It was my first console.

I've both consoles, voted for Super Nintendo!

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past is my favorite.

It's not even on my radar.

So, by saying 'it's not on [your] radar,' are you saying that you prefer something else (some other game system) entirely, or are you saying that you have no interest in video games? It seems like you're saying that you have no interest in it.

If it's the second, then why do you feel the need to comment on posts that are completely irrelevant to you? You've said before that you're not into video games, which is also just fine. You're entitled to your opinions/tastes just like anybody else, but why do you feel the need to reiterate your disinterest? I'm really not trying to pick on you or be mean, but you could've just as easily moved on to the next post or choose one that's more interesting to you. Just a thought.
