my belly button is smelly inside. its tight and it gets smelly really deep. ive been like this since i was young. and sometimes i sniff it and like the smell even though its a bit rank
i thought i was the only person in the world that did that. I take showers daily so it couldn't be a hygiene thing but i just took a wiff of my belly button and boy was it rank but i couldn't get enough so i dug in there again and got another wiff of it. How strange am I? I don't get it but IDK what my problem is.

Try consuming less sugar and simple carbohydrates (for me it was soda and pasta). I'm serious, pay attention to how much you've consumed over the days before the smell is present. It is the only solution that has worked for me.
i almost hate to say it... but i do it too. even though it smells yucky there's something about it that makes me want to dig in and smell it again. are here anymore of you bbsniffers there???
well my sister has the same exact problem and i think its normal. and strangely she likes how it smells. i smelled it a few times and nearly died. it was BAD!! completly normal. maybe clean it or something. or get deoderant for it
Not only do I sniff my rank belly button, but I also sniff my armpits, crotch, plumber's crack, feet, and the crud I scrape off the back of my ears. Each location has its uniquely stinky flavor. Is there something wrong with me?

mine smells like when my peirced ears get infected. cleaning it does the trick.

It is very possible that you have a fungal growth in your belly button. It's actually not that uncommon and can be treated with a lotion type thing. I advise you go to your doctor, they can clear it up. And no I am not bein sarcastic, I am being quite serious since my friend had the same problem and one day decided to ask her doctor.
My ex girlfriend does this, fucking disgusting. She also did the same with her butthole... fucking nasty.
I hate myself for this, but I am a belly button sniffer. I just can't resist the whiff!! Even worse, I know a girl with a smelly belly button, and my friend stuck his finger in her bb and had a smell. I actually wretched.
I find it satisfying to gouge out the depths of my navel with a matchstick. This would be a perfect pastime except for the fact I get shooting pains in my bum-hole if I dig too deep.
It's normal, but it's fixable. (unless you like it THAT much...) It's just dirt and bacteria growing because it's in an obscure place. you can take a q-tip and get some soap and water on it to clean it out. :)
Yes it's like inbetween your toes there's no air that enters so it's moist and has to smell

My friend Brigitte is the same way dont worry! her belly button always stinks when she puts her finger inside...whats creepy about it is that her and her bf are the same so they both have fun picking each others belly button lol
hahaha, i absolutely hate the smell of belly buttons and belly button lint. it's one of my pet peeves and i get really turned off when my "significant other" has either, or points either out.

i know a guy who's bb is deep, and everyone jokes about good punishment, being to smell it. cause i guess its baaad.
So simple. I have a "deep inni" also. Buy bar antibacterial soap. Lather a Q-tip and clean inside gently, then rinse well. I do this about once a week in the shower. No more smellies!
sounds like a bacterial infection..inner belly buttons often get warm and are subject to all sort of nasties...can produce nasty smells and puss. treat with savlon cream or canesten cream twice a day using a cotton bud until the symptoms disappear. the antiseptic should kill off the bacteria. clean using a cotton bud too to prevent the bacteria growing back.
Oh, and I forgot the most obvious sniffery of them all: my farts. I love to smell the food I ate 6 hours ago resurface with shit smell in my gas.
I've had the same issue for years. About once per month I take 1 tsp. of peroxide and lay flat on my back and pour it in a little at a time--for about 15 minutes (let it bubble). Then, I clean it with a dry Q-tip. You might want to see your doctor about it. Am thinking about asking him. Could be a sign of a larger problem brewing.
its a natural fact, any orifice in the human body smells.you just gotta keep it clean. you should be fine
It is completely normal for your belly button to smell like a cottage cheese vinegarette cheetoes. Obviously there is no cure for the smell to go away because research on fat people concerning this issues has gotten no where so you need to condition your brain to immunizing the smell so it is more tolerable. Everyday pick your belly button and match it with what cheese it smells most similar to. Thatway, you have a negative association with cheese so you wont eat so much, loose weight, not have a smelly belly button, and become used to the smell.

well belly buttons allow water to pass through it and the trapping dead skin and who knows what when u shower!
its smelly cuz you never clean it after showering use a qtip and clean it with isotropyl alchohol
My belly button smells too!! It's the dirt that gets caught in there, idk if I like the smell but whatever floats ur boat.

I cant say as that I smell my belly button but mainly cuz I don't stick my finger there but I do smell everything else that I touch, but most relatable would be the gauges in my ears I smell them daily knowing that the end result will be me turning up my nose and laughing lol so id say ur fine
Personally I think that's a hygiene thing. I'm very pedantic about the way I smell and I always wash my belly button thouroughly, luckily I've never had a smelly belly button but I have heard about them and been paranoid about it.
I had the same problem, I think because of creating a condition that promotes infection when I had to use a steroid cream in my belly button. nothing worked for years- I bought everything over the counter for bacteria and fungus, I tried salt water cottonballs, alcohol cottonballs with a bandaid to keep it in and even prescription silvadine creme from when I burned myself. Then finally, I had some dental work that was kind of rough on my gums so the dentist gave me a mouthrinse called peridex- it is prescription chlorhexidine gluconate .12% - Just dip a q-tip in and wipe out the belly button. Just like that the smell went away and never came back.
Yeah mine smells too. Like Its slimy when i sweat and stuff. But then when i leave it alone all day it, the slimy stuff hardens and smells kinda bad.. But i have the impulsive urge to smell it all the time.. Weirdd
It's normal. When you're in the shower just soap your finger and wiggle it around in it lol. Then just rinse the soap out. No more stinky belly button. Problem solved!
i get a stinky belly button too, usually i clean it with a q-tip after i get out of the shower so its nice and moist and gets more lint out.

Belly buttons get dirty to just wash it if it smell that means you've been neglecting to wash it that's all....
This was the funniest thing I read for ages.Of course it smells on occasion so does mine so does everyones.Dont let anyone tell you that liking the smell is wrong or weird,Id say if you dont like the idea of someone liking their own wiffs then you need to chill-didnt you get under the sheets after you had farted in bed when you were a kid?If not you must have had some scary parents or something.Not sure I could cope with wiffing someone elses though but thats my choice.
Get navel fresh spray. It cleans your belly button and makes it smelly good too. I know, I had stinky one too.
I do it too. It's the same as the way your ears smell after you take ur earrings out.
I know it's gross, but I like to smell it from time to time - it doesn't get that dirty anymore as I wash it well and use peroxide and q tips once a week.
I've had two boyfriends who really liked the smell too. So, maybe it is somewhat normal. Maybe it contains phermones or something.
take some Purell hand sanitizer and rub it into your belly button. The antibacterial sanitizer will kill the odor-causing germs. I did it yesterday and my belly button is still odor-free!

It really is hygienic. Just wash it. Mine smells sometimes too, if you want to know the truth...Haha.
Could just be a hygienic thing ... belly buttons can accumulate sweat and bacteria. Wash it daily, and don't forget to rinse and dry it thoroughly.
Don't sniff it and it wont matter if it is smelly or not, no one else is going to sniff it
