Smells like old people?

Certain smells especially colognes/perfumes just smell "old" to me, or remind me or a nursing home. Mostly moth balls, burnt coffee. Certain evergreen shrubs smell like an old cat. Perfumes like Tabu, Gloria Vanderbilt and White Diamonds. Musky and adelhyde scents,even if a young person wears them it smells old to me, does this make sense?
