I get it from time to time. Its a weird feeling being awake and not being able to move. Sometimes this happened in nightmares where I am unable to move or yell. But for the most part It just wares off after a few seconds, no big deal.
My friend has it a lot and she says she thought someone was trying to smother her in her pillow. She woke up on her front and she said it felt like someone was holding her there. She even blamed her boyfriend at first. She gets it far worse than I do.
Also sleep paralysis is your brains way of stopping your body thrashing around too much when you are dreaming. Nothing to do with evil spirits or any of that nonsense.
Sleep paralysis is it normal?
