my sister and i made a pinky promise that i would break up with my boyfriend by her birthday. her birthday is in a few weeks and i don’t want to do it just yet. my whole family doesn’t like my
boyfriend and i want to break up with him at some point because it won’t work... but i don’t want my sis not talking to me. idk what to do. advice?
None of this is normal! So you've stayed with your boyfriend knowing you'll break up with him on a particular date but he doesn't know about it? And you don't want to break up with him "yet"?
You need to work out whether you'd want to stay with him if your family weren't trying to break you up and if so, ignore them, unless they're giving you good reasons which you need to think about - are they?
Your family is obviously going to extreme measures to try to express just how strongly they feel you need to separate from this man. I don't know why they feel that way but they're clearly willing to hurt themselves backing away from you in hopes of getting you to realise how important it is you leave him.
