I think your fear of thinking them makes you think of them more, because your brain is going to look for danger anyway. Stop fearing it. Instead, if they come, let them, and it should be less painful. You're not a bad person!
You can focus on what is really, presently there, smells, textures, sights, to stay distracted. But I promise that fearing these thoughts can make them worse. I'm sorry that you are getting them.
