I have tried talking this over with my wife but she won't talk about it and she makes me feel as if I am doing something wrong, as I said my daughter was raised by her great aunt and uncle and there was never a mother /daughter connection between the two, even now people don't think they are even related because of the way they interact, however most people assume I am her father despite the fact that I am 6 feet tall and white and she is 4'10" and Asian, there is just a very real father /daughter connection between us, I hate the situation and pray for a solution because I Love both of them so much!
Yr wife may feel you're doing something wrong, but she can't MAKE you feel anything unless you let her. If both you and your step daughter are 100000% ok with it go on as you are and she'll just have to accept it.
Ellena I have never had a daughter step or otherwise so she and I are just playing it by ear , we love each others company and the kisses just show our affection for one another , there are certainly no romantic feelings although my daughter is a stunning Filipina beauty , I love my wife and I might be old fashioned but cheating on my marriage ( with anybody ) is not an option
All I can do is repeat what I said earlier: you can't change your wife's attitude if she doesn't want to change. Maybe she needs more reassurance that you love her and find her attractive.
You could think of it as a numbers situation: if you and your stepdaughter continue as you are, one person will be upset & resentful: if you stop being affectionate with each other two people will be upset & resentful.

PS: I don't think praying about it will do much good but if it makes you feel better about the situation, go for it
