  • A fear of the dark is inherent in all and goes back to when we lived in caves nd such,when you got stuff that wanted you for lunch.
    now long dead (we ate them to extinction)
    as we learned about the planet, there was less need to be afraid of what was lurking in the dark,because it was now familiar, but a lot harder to turn off the instinctive feelings.the rest of your senses work overtime to fill in the black that's how horror films work on us playing with our primeval fears.
    so no its more normal not to like the dark than like it.
    strange fact but most men as "protectors" sleep facing the door.
