Should you walk the straight and narrow?

Alcohol is semi legal as is tobacco.Does the regulatory agencies control your behavior at the cost of your freedom or just offer guidelines that you may feel implicit to obey out of respect for the society in general?

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

  • "Oh sinner do not stray from that straight and narrow way, for the Lord is surely watching what you doooo." - Hand of the Almighty.

The law's the law, so I'll obey it. There's no way that I wanna find myself stripping down in front of other women, and taking a shower in a disgusting jail.

My nightmares aren't as bad as a filthy jail.

Ever seen "Truth" the anti-tobacco campaign. Dummies dislike their videos on YTB, but Truth is right.

Smoking and chewing tobacco causes pollution, cancer, and lives to be ruined by sickness.

Why the fuck should that be legal, but if an adult puts weed in thuh brownies, the guv guv gone crack 'em down?

The government sort of controls your behavior at the cost of your freedom, but many of those laws still help save people, so it doesn't matter.

By making harmful products less accessible for minors, it reduces the amount of minors who foolishly dabble in smoking and drinking.

A few years ago, I would've wanted to smoke, but now that I know the truth, I'm very grateful that the law prevented me from doing so. It's the same with drinking.

Now that I know that drinking can have especially harmful effects on the developing brains of young people like myself, I'm glad that I wasn't allowed to drink when I wanted to.

To create the illusion of "freedom" they give you many choices, telling you that making certain ones will make you a bad person or that you should aspire to live along a rigid pre-fabricated model of your life.

We're all slaves to the 1%. You work your ass off for 30-40 years putting up with all the bull shit then you retire and die. That is life. Hard to swallow but it's true IMHO.
