You know how sometimes you see the beginning and end of a word and your brain can just fill it in? I sincerely thought your username was something like “swingingdick” for the longest time, and I have just paused and discovered that it infact does not have the word swing or dick in it.
They can do whatever they want. Me personally I enjoy working and feel you can work and raise kids just fine. Both my parents worked and I went to a day care but still saw my parents a lot and did everything with them I didn’t miss out on anything.
I plan on flipping cars in the future as a side job and plan on teaching my future kids how to fix cars and work with them. One thing I love about my boyfriend is how enthusiastic he is on fixing cars too we make a great team.
I’d never want to be entitled to a specific job just because I have a vagina that’s ridiculous. What I have doesn’t determine how well I work and what interests I have or if I shouldn’t work.
I’ve replaced the front end of my car and will soon do an engine swap. And I’m sure fixing cars doesn’t seem feminine but I enjoy it and I’m good at it a hell of a lot better than many guys. I haven’t been to a mechanic in so long because I don’t want to spend $55 a hour in labor when I know I can do it and know I’m doing it well. So like why not? It’s fun to learn new things and do the work to get things done. I can stay home or still work and raise a great kid just fine but other girls can do whatever they want. Or whatever job they want too just like how a male nurse shouldn’t feel bad doing something he may have a passion for. I appreciate someone willing to help others regardless of gender. And I also think it’s cool if a mom wants to stay home and spend all their time on kids but it’s on them for whatever they chose.
You're a prisoner of your provider. Do I want to be a prisoner in my home again, without the kind of protection that the government offers workers?
No, so of course, I think I should be allowed to work. I also don't want family or close relationships. Being forced to be stuck with and depend on people would annoy me.
That's no life worth living to me.
Depends on the situation.
Income, number of kids.
What the couple is comfortable with.
Childcare is expensive, and lets be honest.
Risky.
Knowone will ever care for their kids as totally as a mother does.
But in todays world and the cost of living being what it is.
Economics take over.
WWII did have an impact.
But it wasnt alone.
There was a shift in the U.S. govt.
At the very top.
The fact you pay FICA.
Health care is now for profit.
Higher Education is priced out of range for many.
Corporations are ' people '
The tax rate for the richest has been all but eliminated.
Special interest control the governments path.
Meanwhile propogana has become 24/7.
Ala fox news, rush, hannity, larson, etc.
They convince people to vote against their own best interest and when that fails.
They suppress votes, use the electoral college, or let the puppet supreme court decide.
Would it all have happened without WWII?
Greed is greed.
Its never content.
The only question is how much longer the same end result would have taken.
Of course women should have jobs, they should have the exact same opportunities as men. Does the op who posted this page think that there are still many people around who think like they did in the 19th century and early 20th century? I guess so far, 11 people do, who voted "no" to the op's question.
There's certain jobs in the Navy, particular kinds of rescue, that women definitely shouldn't be doing because they don't have the lung capacity. Unfortunately science has proven this.
And I don't think that men should be attending female toilets or measuring girls for bras.
I think apart from a couple of random exceptions such as these there's not much difference in genders when in the work place. Blanket assumptions don't apply to a lot of people.
Stop worrying about the genders of your coworkers and start worrying about world war 3. It's coming...
On a logistical note doubling the workforce did cause a lag in wage increases. Not saying that all females should be in the kitchen making sandwiches, we can’t go back on it. But most of the welfare system and the support safety nets in America are built with this old worldview in mind. All comes down to the freedom of it. If she wants to work good for her, If she wants to stay at home don’t disparage her either.
In an ideal world women should stay at home and raise the kids. That's the best way for a society. My wife stays home and I can tell you her job is much harder than mine. I just clock in and out and make the money. Its so much better having a stay at home wife. Theres so many benefits to it.
If you can afford to have a parent stay home with the kids then you’re doing better than the vast majority of the world. It used to be true that only one parent could work and afford to provide for everything. That’s sadly not the case any more. However, of course I think women should be able to have jobs. Gender has nothing to do with being able to work. If a woman is qualified for a position over a man, she should get it. At the same time though, I think it’s bullshit when some of the fake feminists (the anti-men coalition) claim that a woman deserves to go right to the top because she’s a woman and deserves it for just that reason. That’s absolutely ridiculous. I don’t care if you’re black, white, woman, man, asian, muslim, hispanic, etc., if you are qualified for a position, that’s all that matters. I also think we need to ban “at will” states because it’s basically a loophole to discriminate against minorities and women.
Its easy to make 100+ thousand in America really. I could name you 10 jobs right now you can get with no highschool degree and make that. UPS and Walmart pays drivers 40 an hour. Theres a national shortage of drivers too. Its super easy to get rich in America but sadly some ppl are too dumb to do it.
Seriously though man, I have a college degree, no arrests, lots of prior work experience doing tons of different jobs. Since I graduated though I’ve applied to over 500 positions including easy minimum wage jobs and still can’t even get a 7/11 to hire me. So please, if you have any suggestions please let me know because I’m desperate.
