Should women be made to serve the army if they demand equal rights?

Actually, i agree.

For us to be taken serious in a quest for equal pay(the one thing still quite off even in the more gender-equal countries), equal chances, etc...then we have to take the good and the bad.

We have a higher life expectancy, but are not drafted into the military AND may stop working earlier than our male counterparts. Just for examples. The work thing, i kind of always saw as a "payback" for lower wages. But the military thing is stupid, especially since most guys also lose other benefits(often student discounts are age-limited...and they lost some of that time to being in the military).

Then again, i'd be for abolishing the military system as a whole, and would probably instead give everybody an equal amount of first aid courses, ethics and morality-courses and some indoctrination in national identity. -_-

Drafted armies won't have time to get drafted in nowadays war scenarios, anyway. Cultural indoctrination would be a better defence nowadays.
