I love the site itself but I often think it would do better with a little update to it. What do you think?

The layout is fine, some of the “anti-trolling” measures are shit though
No, I hate the way websites are constantly changing their look, it doesn't serve any purpose apart from to make it seem like they're being more modern and like they're improving the site, when they're really doing nothing to improve it.
All the websites also all look the same nowadays. The trend nowadays is to make everything look simple and minimalist, which to me just looks really dull. It's as if they think it makes them a bunch of post-modern art experts or something. It's really gimmicky imo.
Instead they should focus on actually making the site function better. Like with this site, they should focus on fixing the dislike button problem and re-implementing profile pictures, instead of just superficial things like the design.
I like the way it looks. I absolutely despise when companies change a layout im used to and like. Xbox for example . The old layouts were great! Them they modernized it and it looks like a God dsmn apple phone. I switched to pc shortly later
Wise move. I still play Xbox but I do think it is on it's way out. PC gaming is better for pretty much everything.
It is! You should definitly switch! The game escape from tarkov is amazing! Been like crack for me I just can't get enough
I have a really good gaming PC but it doubles as a work PC for my husband so I often can't get on it in the evenings after the kids have gone to bed. Occassionally I can play on it and it's amazing. Most of the time though i have to use the Xbox. We don't even have the newest one, just XboxOne

In all honesty, we can afford another computer. This has inspired me to go and buy one lol. He can do work on something cheaper and leave the fancy PC for me to game on. He loves gaming too so I'm sure he'll be on board with the plan.
I tend to play RPGs - fallout, Skyrim, witcher, morrowind. That kind of stuff. I'm also into some more chilled out stuff like Stardew valley, SpiritFairer etc
Yup, there is a new Xbox and I have decided not to buy it. Once my current Xbox dies that will probably be it for console gaming in this house.
Nah, I say keep it as it is. A lot of small websites look scammy and this one's done a good job of avoiding that.
Does it really need it? If it ain't broke dont fix it. The conversations and posts are IIN main attraction not the graphics.

No, I've actually rarely liked a "modernized" site better than the way it was. It's very functional and looks fine the way it is IMO. I really dislike when sites change every freaking thing and complicate them in the name of aesthetics rather than keeping it simple.

I don't think the websites GUI should change significantly, the logo seems fine to me no need to change that.
If they changed the logo, they'd oversimplify it, since the modern trend for logos. I don't see how you could change the layout in any way that wouldn't be pointless and confusing for the old members. I can't say anything about the color scheme, because I don't see the color scheme.
I know that my name is green, despite the fact that I can never see the fact that my name is green. Technically, though, I can see that my name is green, I just see it as CGA light green, rather than the dark green everyone else sees.
You could update by thinking of a better filter system than the popularity contest ran by gold. If enough gold memebers are trolls they can all approve trolls while removing genuine polls and posts. Also why do you need to pay to pm people? I guess the site needs cash but isnt there a better way to get funding. Also this site fails are keeping minors out. Especially when many of the posts say that they are 16 and under and are not instantly removed.
It looks like a forum. It really doesn't outdated; it just looks like a forum.
That's why I don't think many new people ever come here because they might see it and think it's some outdated site. A lot of places changed their website layout and color scheme to attract new people so it's just a thought
