I say no. Phys-Ed in Ontario is required K-9, and here's what the result of that was for me: I hated every last minute of it, it didn't keep me from getting fat worth a damn, I didn't get any fatter since I dropped it, and if anything, I reinforced my total discontempt for routine exercise. So I'm pretty damn sure it does more harm than good.
