Should the girl or the guy propose?

I don't think it should matter honestly. It's just an antiquated gender role thing that we don't need.

The girl could propose to the guy, the guy could propose to the girl, I'm in no position to say what either one should do! Lol.

Me as a girl I wish the guy proposed :p

Who cares who's gonna propose? They're gonna break up anyway sooner or later...

While I think this is dependent on the relationship itself, I think traditionally, in my culture its more predominantly the male. Although it sometimes puzzles me when women wait 4 years plus for the man to propose, I feel like saying "well if you want to marry him so bad why don't you propose?"
I suppose in some situations the woman needs to hear it from him so she knows he's committed to the idea long term.

In our feminist society, where both genders are equal, the MAN should propose, obviously.

I don't think it matters, but so far, I haven't heard of a story of a girl proposing to a guy. :/

i say the other way around because it would be awesome to have a few lovely women come up to me and ask "OH PLEASE will you marry me"

it also depends on your culture in Brazil rarely do they have the big romantic "will you marry me guy on one knee" thing. a lot of times the couple sits down and talks about it to decide or not. I think either way is fine though if you are a bit old fashioned the guy should ask yes. but in this day and age it really doesnt matter.
