Why don't you have any options that say to leave them as is?
Destroying them or banning them would be absolutely ridiculous in any free society. This would be a serious infringment of freedom of speech.
Networks should also have the right ot air them based on the first amendment. If parents don't want their children watching them it is within their right to not let their own children watch them.
I disagree with you that they shouldn't be shown on television. Good or bad, it is part of our cultural history.
Networks don't show offensive cartoons (legal or not) because they would lose many sponsors and much of their money. Most networks that show cartoons are aimed towards children. Business suicide.
But in so many cases a cartoon can't even be sold privately because it's banned and that's what bothers me. And the ones that can be sold privately are normally difficult to find and overpriced. And a few others have been destroyed.
Coal Black and the Sebben Dwarves. You don't have to like that cartoon but you shouldn't pretend it doesn't exist.
cartoons arent only for 4 yr olds. offensive cartoons often have ratings that differentiates it from the wiggles etc, and those cartoons are often aimed at a higher age group who dont mind having a laugh at things. kanye west watches family guy :P
Should racist cartoons be destroyed?
