It is cheaper to wash dishes with sand than to use soap. Soon main sewer lines are clogged, toilets back up, and everybody pisses in the street. Disease runs rampant, it becomes difficult to even find a place to wash your hands.
It shows what happens when people stop respecting public infrastructure. Third world countries in Asia have more intelligent conscientious people. But Africa is a trash pit.
Sadly I agree I do believe it could change if those tribal morons were educated.
I am of African decent and I wished that the continent my ancestors were from wasn't so shitty.
There are many reasons for it but I blame tribalism first and for most infrastructure also is a issue.
I wouldn't say Asia is better they just have better presentation(Japan South Korea and Taiwan).
India is super shitty and getting worse China is a dictatorship that I don't see many people flocking towards and dont get me started on west asia(Middle East).

In Africa, tribal morons see no value in literacy, sanitation, or civil law. I'm afraid the trend over there is self-perpetuating; education wouldn't help at this point.
