Should i try to shag my lodger.

About 8 months ago I split from my girl friend. Since the break up I had a lot less money and my social life took a beating too. I do have friends but hers were the party people and I got used to the lifestyle. I became verry depressed for a while. A couple of months ago I got a lodger to help with the rent. She was a friend of a friend but I didn't know her. My money situation improved and having someone around pretty much snapped me right of the depression. She's pretty cute and we get on really well. She's cuddly and affectionate, she puts her feet on me when we sit together, puts her hand on my leg if we're looking at something together and recently she's even walked round the flat in her underwear a couple of times. I know I've got a lot to lose if I ruin things between us but the truth is I havn't had sex for about 6 months and I've been thinking about her a lot.

    maybe switch the question to "should I try to take my lodger out on a date and see if she's even remotely interested in me whatsoever"

      yeah why not just try dating first?

      then if it doesn't work you don't have to worry about facing her in the morning with post-sex-embarassment etc.

    You're right. Didn't think of that but I am the kind of guy that if we did actually get into a relationship I would let her off the rent even though I couldn't afford it. With her share of the rent I could just get a hooker... Joke!

    i've heard never do that in case things go bad. But I suppose if yall can have a sexual relationship outside of an emotional one.. (like without dating).. then it would probably be okay.

    Yeah, that's a good point. But even if I ask her out and she says no it could make things weird between us. Or if she says yes but it doesn't work out. Then I'm back to being skint and in a quiet, depressing flat again. The truth is I know I should just leave it but one weekend we'll be having a drink together and I'll do something stupid unless she gets a boyfriend. Maybe I should just try to get her a boyfriend.
