I wouldn't bother telling anyone, as I'm sure it's just an IRS agent. Did you cheat on your taxes? Did you fail to file? They know everything, about everybody, so I'm sure you messed up somehow. Best thing to do is turn yourself in and pay what you owe, or it's off to the lock up for you.
