I agree, it sucks. Luckily my gf has never begged me to open up to her, we've been together a year and she's never asked about my parents once. Kinda nice actually. She tells me she can't be distracted from her classes with trying to deal with my issues

Women will beg you to open up and disclose all your most intimate weaknesses with them, and if you fall for it, they'll just find you less attractive.
Don't confide your weaknesses in a woman. It doesn't help your relationship whatsoever.

She sounds like a selfish woman/girl to me. What does your therapist say about telling her? You might get better advice from them than on here.
Yeah. I tell women that I have a irreverent sense of humor. That usually distracts them from my creepiness.
