I know the job security is good... But the thing is... It's going to take me 6 years with the route I'm going... I don't know if I have 6 years to do this... I've thought about doing the 2 year route but my family wants me to go BSN... I'm barely positive that I have 2 years... I don't know what to do... I've been so stressed out about this that I've had suicidal thoughts... Why let someone else shut me down and I can just do it myself... I just don't know...
I'd personally advise going with a 2 years schooling job so you have the income, then going to school for as long as you need. You're 19, you'll be good and established by 25-27. Good economy or bad, it's nice to take a safe route. (Not too safe.) Unless your family is going to financially support you, don't let them influence your decisions too much. You're the one who has to go through it all.
Thats what I was thinking about doing... Because I KNOW that I don't have 6 years, I want to try to see if I can just do the 2 year program and then when I'm in a stable enough position, go back for my BSN... But I don't know anymore... I just feel like giving up atm.
is it the earnings you will lose by doing the 6 years, or the cost of the course? suicide? no you wont do that , the road will be hard now and easier later, which is better than easier now harder later
It's about the fact that they're taking student loans and grants aways... That's my main concern... I don't know how long I have until it's gone... The most I need is 2 years... Atleast... I'm not sure if I even have that...

exactly, its about obamacare, and how that plan is going to cause hospitals to have to cut back and fire/not hire nurses.
