I don't think it's a bad idea, worst case scenario you she receives some corporal punishment, whether its the strap, a belt, paddle, switch or your hand and she never repeat that behavior again. Or... on second thought, maybe tell her that it's not appropriate and this time she'll be warned but if it happens again you'll make sure you give her a severe strapping.
