How is using lotion not manly? People in general have used oils, like olive oil on the skin for thousands of years.
Make up is mostly for women, with the exception of costumes.
But most of those arbitrary, finicky things that men aren't supposed to do serve no purpose, other than just to be a pain in the ass.

My problem with you is that you're being derogatory, and ridiculing perfectly masculine guys just because of their grooming preferences.
Does that make you feel more alpha? It shouldn't. If anything, it comes across as pathetic.
Also, skin care falls more into the categories with eating right, exercising, and using tooth care products.
It's about keeping a part of your body healthy and looking good. Just like your muscles need certain things to be healthy, so does your skin.
Wearing make up or the way you choose to shave are just superficial aspects of grooming.
