There are hairless males for them, too. When a woman is requesting you to do something it means she is not willing to accept you the way you are, so it is likely to reject you again for something else. If that's not your concern then don't do it at all, unless you need it for sports or a medical treatment or so. Otherwise no shaving no trimming no nothing. Lots of hair is good. That's how males are supposed to be (some of them). Genetics gave you a gift. Trust genetics, it knows better than us.
