  • I was going ask... do you have another job lined up? Unless you've thought these questions already, or your job isn't that critical to your living. Because I've known people to quit without another job lined up or no plan and they get in a rut, not only because it's harder to get a job when you're unemployed, but because they get lazy.

    Give the default 2 weeks notice, you can "offer" 1 month as a courtesy. But unless a company was really short-handed no employer would prefer a 1 month notice. Already they know an employee who's given their notice would be less motivated/productive anyway, so why prolong it?

    • As it is we are shorthanded so a month's notice is extremely, polite. I happen to be demotivated at work already but ive maintained my high standards for work despite that. Thanks for you input, means a lot to me as a user in this community.
