Well, I like this option. I just know the only time I have ever seen the user name "Anonymous" is when I looked at stories that were dated back to 2005 when the website first began.
The problem is if the only person that is given the option to remain Anonymous is the poster of the story Then obviously we will find out who "Anonymous" is. Unless his or her stories are hidden from public view. We should all have the right to comment on a story under the user name "Anonymous."
Or is this just one of those managerial things where only certain individuals are given the right to post on a story under the user name "Anonymous?"
It allows people to add or clarify information in their stories or answer questions that other people may have about the stories or situations yet still remain anonymous. Some people post really personal stories but want to remain anonymous. Now they can interact with other members without revealing who they are or what other people may think if they knew who they are. I'm glad you like it. Udi Falkson is trying to making this a better website. We can all help by giving him constructive feedback about IIN instead of just venting our anger and frustration towards him.
I just looked at my profile page while logged OFF and I could only see the comments that I made that were NOT posted anonymously and other people's comments. So the author of a story is the only person who can view his or her comments that were made anonymously on his or her profile page. If you choose to NOT hide your stories, then anybody can view your STORIES but they will not know who made COMMENTS under the name Anonymous (Story Author).
Everybody has the ability to post anonymous comments in your own stories but not in somebody else's story. I think it should remain this way. If we all had the ability to make anonymous comments in other people's stories then how will we know that the author of the story made the comment. Anybody could say that they're the author of a story even when they're not. The way it is now, we know that Anonymous (Story Author) is the actual author of the story instead of somebody else saying that they are the author of the story. Do you agree?
Yeah now that I fully understand how this works I agree wholeheartedly and happen to really like this feature, I think Udi is really making some headway in improving this website.
Should I leave her?
