Should i have been kicked off the bus?

This incident is so stupid I remember it today. Back in Middle School in the year 2000, there was this really annoying black kid in my class. He thought he was a badass just cause he grew up in Virginia but he was really just a mean-spirited jerk version of Steve Urkel. I was an animal lover so he'd constantly bring up that his ancestors in Africa that he called "Zooms" (he couldn't say "Zulus" correctly) would always hunt and kill animals just to piss me off.

One time, we were sitting next to each other on the bus and he was picking seashells out of a ziplock bag and chucking them at me. Finally, I lost it and screamed at him, calling him a "dirty African". I didn't even use the N word but the bus screeched to a halt and I was forced to take a separate bus home with no one else on it but the driver. The driver was shocked when I behaved on the way home after I was removed from the old bus. I'm normally not a racist person but this guy was REALLY ticking me off.

So what do you think, did I really deserve to be sent home on a separate bus or should it have been that seashell-chucking punk ass wannabe?

      I know but the whole situation was so unbelievably stupid. I'm still facepalming over the fact that I had to be sent home on a separate bus just for calling a kid who was throwing seashells at me a "dirty African".

    Please explain more about the whole "chucking seashells" part of your story. Where did he get the seashells? Why were they in a ziplock bag? How big were the seashells and what type were they? Were they dirty with sand on them or clean? Were the shells flat or actual shells?

    This whole story reminds me of Sally shucking seashells on the sand.

      It was a long, long time ago. All I remember is that he was chucking seashells at me from a ziplock bag. The whole thing was incredibly stupid and bizarre.

    They really over reacted, could of just told not to say that. They should have made zulu boy walk home for throwing things at you.

    He shouldn't have been throwing things at you, but you shouldn't have called him that. I think that you should both have been given warnings and an opportunity to work things out. That said, it is not good to work yourself up about little things that happened such a long time ago.
