Have you Googled the agency? If it is a scam they certainly have burned other people. You can go to the interview but don't sign anything without having someone (like a lawyer not your best friend) look over the documents. The same goes for paying for anything up front. Don't do it until you have fully checked their credentials. After all you are interviewing them as much as they are interviewing you. The difference between this place and a professional photographer is that with the photographer, the photos are yours and you can do anything you want with them or give them to a number of agencies. If this agency takes the photos, they are theirs and you can't pass them out like you want to.
Yeah I googled it, the thing is they have an 'A' with the better business beaureau, if that means anything. Lots of negative reviews though. But I wonder if those reviews are just from people who were unlucky and didn't get any work through the agency, or if it's something completely different ..
