I'd advise against dropping out (worst thing you could do). And don't be selfish, make your parents proud; if you're meant to direct, a college degree won't hinder your abilities -four years is nothing to someone looking back in regret. Do college. And do film school, if you must. But don't find excuses to drop out. You DON'T need to drink or have sex to have a social life. You'll figure it out.
