So long story short, I got an MIP my first couple weeks at college. My mom did not know I even drank and found out after I tried to keep it hidden. My bestfriend who is also my suitemate snitched on me and said he was just trying to help me. Idk how that is helping me because it is not like I am an alcoholic or anything but know that is what my mom thinks. It has been about 2 months since I have really talked to him and I found out he also told my mom that I was a stoner (I only smoked like 2 times in my life). Should I conpletely cut my friend off or start fresh in 2018 and forgive him...

          Ohh. I don't know.

          I had a friend have his friend do this to him. But then eventually they sorted it out and are still best friends.

          And I personally have cut off from people where maybe it could have been fixed and I don't feel I've really learned anything

            He has been my best friend for 3 years and we went to college together but I just dont see what he gained by telling on me and he got me in deep trouble with my parents and just made my life a lot harder but I can say I do miss being friends with him

              But maybe he was just trying to help you? Because he actually thought you were addicted, and so he wanted to see you get help?
