The two guys above are right, talk to a counselor to help you work through the gilt first. But just to put your mind at a bit of ease for every story of grievous bodily harm there are ten others of the guy being just fine. I my self have been hit in the head and ribs with an aluminum bat swing with the intent to kill and yah it hurt but I came out of it fine. Your already besting your self up about this plenty. You got mad and lost your temper, did something stupid and you regret it and will never do it again. Good on you man, you will be fine, just work through it. Good luck.
