Should i become vegetarian?

So I'll be the first to admit, I am by no means "healthy". I eat junk food almost 24-7, and I want to get healthier and possibly lose weight(I'm 5'1" and 175lbs). I was reading articles about the benefits of vegetarianism and thought that it might help me. Should I? And if you are or were vegetarian, can you let me know some benefits or challenges you faced. Thank You

YES reducing your animal product consumption is the way to go! I was vegetarian for a while, and now I am vegan and it's amazing. Seriously, do some research into veganism also :) Losing weight is only one of the many benefits to vegetarianism and veganism. In addition to the environmental and human and animal benefits You should watch some of the documentaries, like What The Health (2017) on Netflix, there are a lot of documentaries that are awesome! Also I like watching youtube videos for information, education, and meal inspiration. Wish you the best! :)

  • Vegetarianism is a great way to transition to a healthier life! Though I myself would push a bit for veganism, anything is better than all the processed meat these days.

Try to avoid high processed carbs and chemicals, also try not to acid your teeth to death. I've been raw vegan for a few years now, eat a lot of roots, veggies, nuts, and grasses and grains, I don't eat (enough) fruit these days because they don't grow so well where I live.

The white bread and pasta can really sit concrete in your stomach, so look for less processed. Good luck!

Meat is full of hormones now so becoming vegetarian would be a good idea. Have been one since my dad served a pet for Sunday lunch. It's also a lot cheaper and many meat alternatives make it easy if you crave flesh.

its healthier and would probably help you lose weight, but you have to exercise as well. I was vegetarian but it was too much work to make dinner for me and something else for my family, so i started eating what they ate.
As long as your actually eating vegetables and not starches or baked things like pasta, then it would be a good idea.

Hell yeah it's healthy! Food digests better if you eat vegetarian. But, you really want to go all out VEGAN, because if you keep dairy in your diet, you will be fucking everything up. Let me just say that dairy is growth formula for cows. Duh, what do you think it does to you? Same thing. Don't consume it. Besides that, dairy generally makes people sick with upper respiratory problems.

There's so much vegan variety food that you will never miss out ever. I've been to vegan food festivals. Everything can be made vegan. The taste quality is amazing!!!

A vegan diet makes your guts happy.

Look up Mic. The Vegan on YouTube. This guy has all of these videos on why you should go vegan for your health.
Another YouTuber is Happy Healthy Vegan. There's also Vegan Gains.

    There's also this -->

The guy that made this site hails from a family that created the Armour meat company. He's vegan. His whole family is vegan.

So, just dabble, take a look, and try it out.

    Try it as an experiment.
I'm lazy, I live on vegan burritos like from Chipotles.

There's a good number of vegan athletes that prove that this is such an advantageous diet. If an Olympian like Carl Lewis can go vegan, anyone can. There's Patrik Baboumian, vegan strongman. Plenty of ultrarunners like Scott Jurek. There's Rich Roll who tells how he went from an unfit desk trapped lawyer to vegan ultra runner. So many examples out there. I love these Vega protein shakes.

Just gonna say, it feels good. :-)

And then, once you realize that, you will probably start looking at the ethics of a veggie diet and think omg, my mind!?!?!!
