No, I have more self respect than that. But maybe if he was a charmer. However that charm would quickly fade with such a focus on looks.
Being physically fit is a superficial quality. If that is what you want, fine, but realize that looks fade and if that is the foundation of your relationship it will crumble faster than a sand castle on the beach.
I hate to say it but sometimes, with a guy that cocky and full of himself, he can see winning certain types of girls as sort of a challenge. Because normally, a girl like you wouldn't give a jerk like that a chance.
Try and see this guy objectively, without taking into account what he looks like because that's not important; just look at his personality, and whether he's actually a very nice person. Last year I started going out again with the guy who was my "first", not only because I liked the romantic idea of him being my first and last, but because he was hotttttt. Great body, lots of charisma, and an ego to match. BUT, I quickly realized he was a jerk. He made mean spirited jokes about my appearance and told me that I didn't have a sense of humor because I found them hurtful. To make me "feel better" he'd say "You should see some of the girls I've dated though, believe me, looks do NOT matter to me!" Gee thanks! That really makes me feel super. =/ Now I would NEVER tolerate someone who makes me feel so down on myself, fuck that. I kicked that guy to the curb, because ultimately his crappy personality outweighed his good looks.
It sounds like that's what you're going through too, believe me, you'll be sooooo much happier with someone who thinks you're awesome and who focuses on YOU, not on themselves.
Should I be mad at this?
