Everyone but the white males complain about descrimination, even though they have feminists and angry black people targeting them.
But in all honesty, no. Homophobia shouldn't be illegal. I mean, think of it this way. A man grabs a woman's ass, she punches him; she's fighting for her rights. But if a man grabs my ass and I punch his lights out, I'm a homophobe. Men would be getting fined or jailed for retaliating to sexual harrassment. I for one had my ass slapped by a homosexual for months in college. If I was to hit him for it like a woman would a man in that situation, then I would be to blame, and it wouldn't be thecase of "fighting for my heterosexual right to not be sexually harrassed by homosexuals"
All in all, we have a choice to hate things, it's our right. Acting in violent ways towards people is not legal, though. So people should be allowed to have their own beliefs, but physical violence forno reason but their beliefs should and is illegal.
But, what about religion? Religions would be considered illegal due to a lot of themagainst homosexuals.
Is it unfair for homosexuals? Yes.
Should it be illegal for being someone's belief? No.
If you were being constantly sexually harassed by another guy (or female) then you should have reported it. You cant change a way of thinking if you don't challenge it (even if i'm not convinced that men are really disciminated against, believeing you will be doesn't actually mean you are)
I pretty much agree with your final two points. If people want to be bigoted in whichever way they want then fine, but the rest get to call them what they are. People acting on their bigotry to disciminate in employment or service is different though.
Are ou kidding? Are you familiar with the article of three 8th grader girls force stripping a 6th grade boy? The boy told them to stop, was screaming for help, but they continued, and successfully stripped him, all while recording it, then put it on Youtube. The three girls never got charged for it, and was recorded in the police files that "It was just some girls playing a prank". Full body physical, sexual assault committed on heterosexual males aren't taken seriously, even when there is video evidence to show they were assaulted. That's why I done nothing, because I would be the only one that suffers from it. I'd seen as less of a man for not sitting back and accepting it.
Sexual assault on heterosexual males isn't taken seriously, so I'm not going to make a big deal out of something that I can't change, especially when there are men's rights groups noteven able tomake a change.
No I'm not familiar with the case, it's horrible and i'm absolutely certain there are many many other instances, just as there are many many many instances of females being sexually assaulted and the perpetrator receiving unfair justice. The system isn't perfect, i'm not sure if it ever can be close to perfect. An appalling decision where the victim happens to be male, doesn't prove that there is discrimination in the system, because there are just as appalling decisions made where the victim was female.
You keep suggesting you'll be seen as less of a man for reporting a crime. I'd think there are a lot of men who would see the cowardice by not reporting it as just as bad. Both are pretty unfair responses, if people are being harassed there are systems in place to at the very least report it, both at the college and via the police. If you choose not to do anything about it, i think that's disheartening, but it's your choice. I don't think you can suggest the system discriminates against you when you've never even tried though.
Yes, and the case that I told you about that sexual assault on males aaren't being taken seriously, so you can't really know how much sexual assault of males are being committed. I suggest you watch Girlwriteswhat on Youtube. She explains these things better. She explains how sexual assault is 40% female on male.
You have to look at it this way. Men know if they claim sexual harrassment that they'd be laughed at or not taken seriously, the case I told you about proves that even if video recorded, sexual assault on males isn't taken seriously at all. Males are growing up learning that, which means even the males that have been sexually assaulted most likely won't claim sexual harrassment due to them the most likely conclusion.
More females than males get away with sexual assault, and it's mainly societies fault.
Yes, but was there any case where it was litrally video taped of the female being striped while the female is screaming for help, then getting seen as "just a male pulling a prank"? I believe not. A lot of horrible men get away with their crimes, but females get away with a lot more, even when you have the best form of proof of the situation happening; video recording.
There are some, and I have to say that I'm partly one of those people. But they are definetly the minority of men. I mean, you get seen as less of a man for defending yourself against a woman that's attacking you.
It was my choice, a choice I would make again. I know for a fact that nothing would happen, and that I would be seen as an asshole for claiming sexual harrassment, simply because I'm a guy.
One of the things I hate most about this country. :( As much as I got flak for turning in one of my friends in college after he assaulted me, I was afraid to take it to court because I didnt think anyone would believe me given the circumstances. (Was one of my best friends who I had been "talking" to before the assault occured) I cant even imagine how it would have gone down if I was a man, and thats not right.
You should be beleved just as readily as any girl who claims sexual harrassment. Hell, Ive read accounts where a man called the police on a rape case and had the cops laugh at them. :( Im sorry that happened to you.
It's good that you turned him in if he assaulted you. There is no acception to any form of assualt, and turning your ex friend in was the right call.
Yep, unfortunatly it does happen, yet everybody would preffer to believe that males that get assaulted doesn't happen, and even when it does, the man assualted is laughed at and told to "man-up". It's sickening. I mean, even the Debra Levave case. She wwas a teacher that has ex with a fourteen year old, and she didn't even get prison time...If it was a male teacher to a female student, the man would of been lynched.
Also, when a woman cut off her husbands penis because he asked for a divorce...The man was made fun of and laughed at by about two hundred women on national television. It's just so sickening.
Don't be sorry, it's all in the past now. Be sorry for the men that get assaulted by women in more severe cases, yet can't do anything about it, they're the real victims of these ways of society.
Should homophobia be illegal?
