Should a 28 year old female think she's already "old"?

For a girl, 28 is ancient. You should have a 12 year old daughter who makes your life a misery, a couple of other brats running around the house, and be collecting your government assistance checks the first Friday of every month. You should have already had a string of abusive boy friends, who have stolen every shred of your self respect and left you with their devil's spawn. But you have none of that, wasting your life instead, however you are wasting it. What is wrong with you?

It isn't about the word. It's the thought that 28 years is in the debate of being old. What does old mean? I am a bit older than that and I have never felt old. Well...maybe once or twice after a lot of physical activity and my joints hurt the next day. But in general, not something I obsess over. I mean, what kind of life span do you anticipate if 28 is old? Dead by 40? And how horrible of a mindset to be miserable for 45 years because you thought 28 was old. You must plan for an awfully dull life. Why do people do that to themselves. It makes no sense to me.
Now if only I could do a cartwheel without fucking up my shoulder. I guess I'll go play in the sprinklers instead.

It's a matter of perspective. You will get a different response from whatever age you are addressing your question to. For me as an old man you are a child. As a 14 year old you would have been old, as a older teenager/young twenties you would be a bit old but as a mid thirties you would be a catch. You will never be as young as you are now ever again. When you are 40 you will realise how young 28 really is.

I didn't start feeling odler till I hit exactly 30. It was almost like the day I turned 30 my body started doing weird stuff...I got hot flashes and all softs of other problems Ive never had. Not that youre really old OLD is like 60 but your body doesn't feel young as it used to anymore.
