Shit in the planter on the balcony cause my landlords not fixing the toilet

I got tired of pouring water in the toilet to flush it cause the chain came loose and my landlord keeps telling me to fix it myself.

Is It Normal?

    If you are that helpless, that you can't reattach a loop of a chain to a hook, I feel sorry for you.

    You probably shouldn't be living alone and require supervision.

    Look into some kind of assisted living. They will put you in diapers and wipe your ass for you.

      Should he also start thinking about those "final decisions" while he is at it?
      Maybe plan last rites, where he wants to be buried, what kind of legacy, etc?

      All this over a broken toilet chain which is one of the easiest repairs there is in a house.

    Where do you live? In the UK and Australia it's illegal for him not to fix it within 24 hours. (The exception being if you have another toilet in your home that you could use.) I would think that would be the same in a lot of countries.

      His toilet isn't even "broken" that it needs to be fixed. Literally just a chain you need to reattach. Takes about a minute. He (or she) already knows what the problem is but refuses to do it themselves.

    Chances are that this person is completely clueless and doesn't know how to fix a simple toilet flush chain. I bet they don't even know how to take the lid off the tank. Millennials are going to be the soilent green of the zombie apocalypse.

    Some landlords are scum, but you sound like a pretty obnoxious tenant. Do you also expect him to come around and change lightbulbs when they burn out?

    Go ahead and crap in the corner of your living room if you want, but any sane, sensible person would figure out some way to fix the flushing mechanism.
