Sheriffs let me off for anything

my wife goes to church with the local sheriff and is really close to the family and we get away with anything. We never get tickets one time we got pulled over and the car was literally full of weed smoke and the deputies recognized my wife and apologized for pulling us over. I sometimes hear about black ppl getting treated badly by law enforcement and it is something I dont experience because we live in a small town and most ppl know the sheriffs deputies by name. The sheriff is elected and well known. He even goes to the local bar. I cant imagine living in a city where no one knows eachother.
