She didn't congratulate me?

Is she ignoring me?

My fiance and I are engaged and I posted a photo of the ring online but she never told me congrats or anything. I even posted replying to her blogs she made, commented a lot, etc but she never said congrats, why is this? She even messaged me on messenger says Hey whats up? But when I said not much, getting ready for the wedding in a few days, she still didn't say a thing! She is my brother's long-term girlfriend (hes been dating her before I was dating the guy I'm with now).

Why is this? She's 23, I'm 19.

Let me know, thanks.

Do you think its because I've only been with the guy for 8 months and shes been with my brother for 7 years?

If she's a fellow hillbilly she's jealous, if she's not, she's horrified and is following the adage "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all"!

Could be jealousy, or could also be that she doesnt support it. I personally think 19 is too young, combined with only 8 months of knowing someone is a disaster waiting to happen. Hopefully youre the very few that last, but the odds are sadly you wont. Good luck.

Yea I agree with redspark. I can totally see it not occuring to me, and if I didn't say it right when it happened then I'm probably going to feel awkward bringing it up later.
And to all the other newlyweds saying their marriage is still great? That is awesome and I'm happy for you, but one to five years is nowhere near a long enough time to REALLY know.

You are waaaaaaay to young to get married. Success happens occasionally but not often.
    Why the rush?

Because why tell someone to drive safe when they're wasted out of their mind? Marriage is one of the worst decisions to make next to jumping down a mine shaft. Your relationship will fail and it especially has to do with your age.

I didnt say EVERY marriage fails, I SAID that most of them do. I still believe it is incredibly stupid, everyones entitled to their own opinion. Either way she will do what feels right to her. Im sorry to hear about your husband.

MEL, My husband and I married after only knowing each other 3 months. We were very happy for 11 years when my husband died. Not every such marriage fails.

Friend, get your happiness where you can; there is not always a lot to be had. If it feels right, do it. I wish you every happiness.

I got married young and after one year. We are still happy. Don't listen to people it's up to you and your partner.

I love my wife more than anything. It's kids that take the freedom

    She's probably jealous.

And Screw all of you who think she's rushing into marraige!! I was married at 19 and I had only been with my boyfriend for 6 months. We're coming up on our 4th anniversary. We have a wonderful son together that's about to turn one (and yes he was planned) and we couldn't be happier.
