I shave my face using an old-fashioned straight razor, the kind Johnny Depp kills people with. Despite their gruesome and probably unjustified reputation, they get a ludicrously close shave, if you do it right. I use a badger hair brush (possibly fake badger hair, I don't recall) with a puck of soap, as well as some pre-shave oil and nice lavender aftershave.
I also shave my underarms using a straight, because even with a good safety razor, you'd get too much hair stuck between the blades. The process is pretty much the same, but I have a separate shaving kit for it, for obvious reasons. And no aftershave. I don't know why most men keep that hair, it's almost as bad as back hair.
