i didn’t ask for your life story and i don’t care
i never said you should automatically believe people?? why are you just making things up because you can’t find anything wrong with the things i’ve said?
you should stay neutral on rape allegations until enough evidence has been put forward to form an opinion on it, just like with every other case. everyone knows that.
my point has never been “false rape allegations are unimportant,” my point was always that real rape allegations are more important and a bigger issue, and that you can’t take something that has happened to very little people like being falsely accused of rape, and say that it means women are privileged. do you even know what privilege is?
privilege means that things are more likely to go your way, and history has shown that almost everything has followed the wants of the cishet white man. i have seen nothing that indicates female privilege unless yall mean the privilege white women have over POC.
i have never automatically believed anyone unless they were a close friend of mine, and i can assure you most normal people do the same thing.
If your position is "you should stay neutral on rape allegations until enough evidence has been put forward" I dont think anyone here disagrees with you on the topic at all except for the privilege part. I think there are good and bad parts about being either sex. If you get divorced and want to keep the kids id say itd be better to be a woman. If you are walking in a dangerous neighborhood it would be better to be a man. Both have their ups and downs in their own little ways.
i think i’m starting to understand your point better, but i still think that cishet white men hold the most privilege.
the best way for me to explain this is to cite something from the male privilege wikipedia.
“The invisibility of male privilege can be seen for instance in discussions of the gender pay gap in the United States; the gap is usually referred to by stating women's earnings as a percentage of men's. However, using women's pay as the baseline highlights the dividend that males receive as greater earnings (32% in 2005).[1] In commerce, male dominance in the ownership and control of financial capital and other forms of wealth has produced disproportionate male influence over the working classes and the hiring and firing of employees. In addition, a disproportionate burden is placed upon women in employment when they are expected to be solely responsible for child care; they may be more likely to be fired or be denied advancement in their profession, thus putting them at an economic disadvantage relative to men.“
when it comes to the social aspect of society, men and women have different areas where they’re more likely to excel. however, men are definitely more likely to succeed in government, business, work, and finance. until everyone, including feminists, start to understand that, nothing will change.
Yeah we are on opposite ends of the spectrum on this one I assume. I have a stay at home wife that cooks, cleans, and raises kids while Im at work. We are very traditional. Personally it works really well for us and I sometimes wonder how many other mothers, if their husbands had a good enough income, would actually want to not work a job and stay home and raise their own kids. The wages once were good enough that there wasnt really a need for women to work a fulltime job. Idk its a complex issue not so black and white.
