Yeah I know this topic is highly controversial on here...
Just to specify the 2 terms:
Beastiality(Sex with animals): The act of having sex with an animal may it be with or without love.

Zoophilia(Love (and sexual attraction) for animals): Zoophilia means loving animals and being sexually attracted to them and therefore wanting to have sex with them.

Zoophilia itself is not illegal (It cannot be because no one is harmed just because a person is sexually attracted to an animal... For the same reason pedophilia or something like that can't be illegal!)... Bestiality, the act of having sex with an animal, is illegal in many countries!

To come to my actual question: I know it is not normal being sexually attracted to animals nor having sex with them but I want to ask why people consider it wrong or even call it rape?
There is no rational reason to do so as long as the animal is not harmed (or even enjoys it). Maybe it is just your concept of morality that says it is wrong but as I said there is no rational reason to condemn bestiality!!!

    The difference is that people force their animals to mate but if a zoophile loves his/her animal, he/she would pay attention if the animal is comfortable with this... Short explanation

    When People have a female dog or female horse does that animal give Consent to having Sex with a male dog or male horse, NO, the person that Owns it gives Consent for that animal to have Sex. So the people who have sex with there animal is the One who gives Consent and goes and does it with him or her. What is the Difference between the two huh.

    I think people don't agree with it b/c animals are seen as innocent creatures, like children. Animals can't really consent (in the way we think consent means). They can use sexual signals however. Other species have engaged in interspecies sexual activity but one could argue that we are above animals, capable of moral reasoning and thinking. If you have sex with an animal people will view it as you defiling yourself, same with if someone has sex with a lot of people.

      I think people call it rape because the animal might be oblivious to what is going on. Sort of like an adult that touches a child inappropriately (or makes him/her do something) and the child doesn't know what's going on.

      You could look at it that way. You may not be harming the animal but you are taking advantage of it. I think it depends on the animal too.

          With the animals have a mentality of a child argument I can see why it's flawed. Of course if you do something to a child sexually that it's unaware of it's wrong but animals aren't going to remember the past like a child when he/she grows up. It's not going to affect them unless you constantly hurt it and it's conditioned to be afraid of you. If you're not hurting it and it likes it/doesn't mind than there isn't much harm in it.

          I'm saying that's what people think. So yeah it's a common argument.

          I say do what you want I don't think it's necessarily bad or rape unless your hurting it, and if it doesn't like it it could probably get away unless you tie it down. xD

          Since when did people start caring about hurting animals anyways we slaughter them to eat don't we. So I could say it's okay to do that to any animal but a dog, horse or cat.

          A lot of people consider their pets their children.

    How do you 'know' the animal is enjoying it? And even if it WAS enjoying it, and you somehow knew this for a fact, how does that make it OK? Technically a 10 year old child could physically 'enjoy' sexual touching by a 40 year old man, but is that right? I don't think so. It's about consent, and taking advantage of someone or something that doesn't have the mental capacity to know what's going on. Yeah, a dog might go to town on a woman, but it's little mind is thinking "She's gonna have my puppies in 2 months!!"....You're clearly taking advantage of soemthing that has ZERO capability of recognizing what's being done to them. Is it OK to fuck someone in a coma too? Or a dead body? Or someone who is mentally retarded?

      Sure you can never prove 100% that the animals enjoys it but an animal owner that knows his/her animal will know what that animal likes/enjoys or not!

      I don't think it is wrong as long both partners enjoy the sex/love and are happy with it no matter if they consent or not! However, an animal consents to sex by just letting it happen... If it doesn't want to have sex than it would do something to prevent it!

      How could you compare a living mature animal with a corpse or someone in coma that's just not the same!

        No, animals don't know WHAT'S fucking them, they know they're getting fucked, but they don't know that you're not their species and NOT going to impregnate them (or vice versa), which is WHEN and WHY animals have sex (left to their own accord).

        How can I compare them? Because of MENTAL CAPACITY. An animal has less mental capacity than a small child. So, are you saying it's OK to have sex with a small child 'as long as it enjoys it'...or if 'it's YOUR kid and you know it well and know what it likes'? Or a mental retard? So if a mentally retarde man can get a boner, is it OK for a woman of normal intelligence to ride his cock? Or, is it OK for a man to fuck a mentally retarded woman just because her 'pussy is wet'?

        Oh, and btw, why include the part about the animal being 'mature'? Are you saying it's NOT OK to fuck a puppy but it suddenly IS OK when it's 2 or whatever? lol, ha. Or does the animal have to be 18? Just wondering. I mean, you're talking about fucking an animal and the right or wrong of it, and you include something about the maturity of the animal, that's comical.

          Do I really have to answer you that? Of course the animal has to be mature... It is sick as hellto fuck a puppy! You shouldn't do anything with an animal may it be human or not when it is under the age of knowing what sex is and under the age of consent... for a dog may it be 2-3 years for a child at least 14 when not 16!!!

          An animal has not less Mental Capacity I am sure that is a fact but even if that was not the case I can refer to my paragraph above because you don't have to have a high mental capacity to have sex... You just need to know it is fun/pleasuring (and is for reproduction)!
          Furthermore in how far is it an argument to say that animals don't know what's fucking them??? Where is the point? It doesn't matter I guess... an animal doesn't care about who's fucking them I believe!

              You have made several points I'd like to honestly refute - if you're willing to listen. If you would like to discuss it in private that would be great, but I will briefly summarize:

              1. Many animals (especially mammals) do not only have sex for procreation, but for pleasure or sometimes social hierarcy reinforcement - claims which are supported by research.

              3. Animals that do have sex for pleasure or at least find the act pleasureable (and especially those which show an understanding for human body language, such as dogs, which do so better than even our closest living genetic relative, the chimpanzee), and are sexually maure, can be seen to give a resonable consent response to - or even an initiation of sexual acts. (I can elaborate)

              2. Sexual acts are not always the abusive type you have characterized, nor do most zoophiles find those types of acts appealing. I personally find anything that makes the animal uncomfortable to be a no-go. Anal intercourse is pretty much always one of those.

              3. People like me are not necessarily desperate, basement dwelling people who cant find a person. I've been in a stable long-term relationship with a very attractive, amazing, supportive person for almost two years, so it is not necessarily something born of depravity.

              Anyway, is it normal? No. Is it necessarily immoral? Not in my opinion. If you have questions or other points I'd like to hear them and discuss.
