The whole asking for money thing all the time is kinda weird; I personally would be wary. Even if it wasn't a Catfish thing, that kind of friend isn't the best to have in the first place since if you ever lent him money, would that be the trigger for him expecting it from then on? I would be careful; keep it away from the money and the lending and always on the friendship itself.
