Assault is assault, it doesn't matter if its coming from somebody else or yourself.
OP needs to be protected from the person cutting their body which in this case is OP.
That takes firm words, I have no doubt hearing "oh poor baby" will do nothing the next time they feel the urge to do it again.
Ive had self destructive addictions myself and my friends told me I needed to fucking stop plain and simple, and take the steps to prevent relapse. I love them and am blessed to have people who do this.
OP needs to be admitted to a supervised institution until they can be responsible to no longer damage their body.

I did not say OP was stupid, unlike yourself I would never call a person this and have no reason to believe OP is.
I said cutting is stupid which it is.
I offered practical advice to OP, all you did was respond to other people in the comments.
