  • I used to do this too but haven't in a long time ..
    I hated it when people told me to use mindfulness (sort of accepting that you feel sad, but knowing that the sadness will pass and just waiting it out) it does take a long time to learn but really does help ..
    Other stuff to try could be the rubber band around the wrist, drawing on your arms in red pen, headphones on full, going outside for fresh air ..
    You should try to stop before you start relying on it :)

        • Oh right, that'll do a lot of good won't it? Tell me this, if your god is omnipotent why doesn't he already know who to look after and who not, why does he need your prayers to do so?
