Seeing old friends that have gone downhill

You know when you see someone who was a close friend years ago and they've really gone downhill.
Sometimes just feeling disgusted and you sort of wonder how they've become that and you haven't.
Say they've had a bunch of kids, or they look like a crack whore.....
and just felling bad..then wondering if they're thinking the same thing about you.

Is It Normal?

    How is a lot of kids downhill? Unless they didnt want all the kids and they look miserable.
    but dome people are very happy with multiple children and still look good.

    Idk how my old friends are doing I only kept in touch with one friend and he is doing well...everyone else I dont know.
    but I guess ill find out at a high school reunion.
