Perfectly normal. You will also find that no matter which direction you look, the blob will always be in te same position relative to your eye. That's why sometimes when you try to look at it you can never catch it. Used to drive me crazy. Just go to sleep, try to ignore it. If you keep focusing your eyes on it you might get nearsighted (no joke). Same reason why night lights for kids are no bueno.
