  • I know exactly how you feel, because I was/am in prettymuch the same situation.

I'm also a junior and I've never done well at school. I had to leave a school with loads of people I loved because I failed too much and am now at an alternative school making up credits.

My advice is not to look down at the alternative just because most of the people there are f*** ups. Just get through it so you can go back to your other school, or graduate. It doesn't matter what the people there are like, going there doesn't mean you're stupid or f***ed up, it just means you fell behind and need to get back on track. Some of the worlds most intelligent people did shitty in school.

To keep yourself motivated, set a goal for yourself. My goal is to get back into my other school next year, which I'll be able to do if I make up all the credits I'm missing. If you're too behind to do that, maybe there's something you want to be? A college you want to go to? Or maybe just being able to get back to your old school, if that's possible.

Also, just because your not going to the same school as your friends, doesn't mean you'll never see them again. I still keep in touch with all my friends, even though I live relatively far from them, and see them on the weekends. I've also met new people at my alternative school, and although I can't relate to them as well as I could my old friends, they keep me company while I'm there.

In short, it's not the end of the world. When I was told I'd have to switch schools or repeat the year, I definitely thought it was. I thought if I couldn't be with my friends I might as well give up on school altogether, since I'm not good at it anyway. But at my new school I've learned that I'm not as bad at it as I thought I was, and getting back to my other school has given me a reason to do well.

Good luck, I hope I helped at all.
