Scared without my dog!

^no it wasn't common, ppl got married young back then and they had a man in the house

I would imagine this was common for hundreds of years when there was really a lot to fear at night.

Two men broke into my house one night when I was alone. My giant standard poodle sleeps with me. Don't ever think they are sissy dogs .

Thats called, you love your dog, it's a mans best friend. No they isn't anything wrong with this, it's normal you should try go out, and make some new friends, hopefully you won't be wanting to sleep with them all =P Ha, no problem it's normal.

I wouldn't say it's normal but you're not alone. Some people have this to a degree that they cant even leave their house without their pet.
