There are some things that happen in life which are difficult to tell people, especially those close to you incase they treat you any differently or you feel like a burden or whatever reason you have. However at the end it is those closest to you that will help you get through these difficult times so I suggest you tell him, he is your boyfriend and I'm sure he loves you too so he will help you get through it.
