  • Behold the brilliance of my magnificence: https://ibb.co/dtCNpBm
It is done, after just 2 months of brainstorming XD
Sadly I did have to work with jack stands, as all of the car lifts were taken, so I couldn't lazily do the job, while listening to country music XD

Also sadly the Mercedes decals I bought are a bit too big and will cover the brake caliper completely and will look weird, so I didn't put them on. Gonna save them for the E-class. It has bigger brakes and the decals will sit just right.

I could upgrade the brakes completely in my C-class, but the standard brakes are good enough to handle the 185hp my C-class makes, so why bother... I did get some drilled disks a while back, cause they look cooler.
A friend of mine suggested I get AMG decals and put those on, as they are smaller. But I'm not gonna do that as it's too ricey...
It's like the muppets you see in 1 Series BMW driving about that all have M-packages and 20 M-badges XD

I can imagine your job requires a lot more patience and skill than mine... If a client is a shit driver, I can always end a test drive due to "safety risks", but you have to give that floppy-eared mofo a makeover whether he wants it or not.

PS: Question... why are the springs pink? I mean, I like 'em, but why, do they come in hot pink stock? Or is there a tuning story behind them XD

    • Yours is a lot better done than mine for sure. Looks super smooth really wish I sanded mine. I only ever use jack stands, sucks having to do with such a low car.

At least you can put it to use with another car. I’m starting to wonder if I order some if they will fit mine either. I’m sure the front ones but back I’m not sure.

They definitely do look cooler. Yeah might as well stay fairly stock if it’s not needed to change, more priorities to do. Hahah I do see that to much, although I’m a bit of a ricer at least I’m not driving around with STi badges like some.

I get lots of well behaved dogs which is always nice. But some 😒. Definitely not easy tho especially dangers of having a razor near a dog that don’t wanna sit and be calm. Last thing I needs a vet call.

As for the springs being pink I bought them that way so idk if that’s how they came regularly or not. They are lowering springs but not by a ton. Enough where I can enjoy it low but also high enough to plow through rough winters. I wish I had a better story behind them haha.

      • Well, Subaru is a smaller word than Mercedes Benz, so it will probably fit. Just check the sizes, something I didn't do when I bought the decals XD

My C-class is a bit riced too, but I like the end result. AMG front bumper, S-class style taillights and all windows blacked out (as usual). But I did also do an ECU remap, so not as rice as a ricer XD

What are the tint regulations where you live? In Bulgaria you're legally allowed to only tint the rear windows. But I tinted the front side ones too, cause they look cool. If you don't tint them too much, police don't mind. Cause most German car makers have a thing called "Privacy package" that includes factory tinted windows. So in the eyes of the Bulgarian police... high end cars with black windows are ok.

        • Yeah can always just check sizes on them. Idk how many times I’ve bought items that “fits your car” but doesn’t actually fit.

Idek what my front bumper is cause my fog lights are bigger than regular wrx ones. Makes me wonder if it’s something completely different. But I ordered it straight from japan. I don’t even see many fenders with blinker lights either. I got an interesting front end going on. At least you got some remapping done.

I could be wrong but I believe here you can’t have your drivers side or front windshield tinted. But if doing the passenger it has to be no darker than 35% I think. And as for the rest pretty sure any % will do. Haha that’s good they’re flexible on that too. I’m starting to truly believe police where you live are a lot more cooler than here in probably every way.

          • You could check sizes, or be like me, buy it straight away, realize it's the wrong size, insult it and then save it for another car XD

Maybe it's a bumper for the Japanese market only??? At one point while still in uni, broke and probably a bit stupid, I was obsessed with saving up to buy a Mercedes V6 diesel engine an doing an engine swap and turn my C220 into a discount AMG. But after thinking how much that would actually cost and all the additional costs (brakes, suspension, tires, secondary transmission cooler) and possibly have the police confiscate it for being an illegal car in Germany... I gave up on that dream and settled for a simple remap instead. And after I bought my E420, I forgot about any of that nonsense.

Our police isn't really that cool, they are just lazy and underpaid. Much better to torment, extort and deprive the law abiding tourists from western Europe of their 50 Euros, than bother with some muppet that wants to turn their car into sunglasses XD
After all, cops in Bulgaria make on average 400-500 Euro a month. On a busy day, on the right road in summer they can probably make half of that in a day.

            • Haha that’s one way to do it.

Probably, I wouldn’t be surprised if US versions are different. In photos I’ve seen others with it too but not often. Doing that to your car definitely sounds like a whole lot of extra work. So far your cars already seem badass as they are.

              • Care to snap a picture of the bumper. I'm kinda interested if you got a Japanese spec one, or maybe a Euro spec one...
Cause I know how WRXs look here in Europe, but it'd be interesting to see.

Should have seen how badass my E-class was before I replaced the battery and bought a battery tender while I was in Bulgaria a while back. Car wouldn't start, battery was low. My mom and dad were at the mountain house and I was alone at the apartment and my C-class was in the shop. So I called my neighbor for help.

She has a Renault Modus and offered to give me a jump. I needed to get moving fast, so I stupidly accepted. Her car has a 1.2L gasoline engine with a tiny battery and she's trying to jump start a 4L diesel V8 twin-turbo monster. I heard the starter engage and slightly turn over once and that was it. Car showed me a "Low voltage" message before everything went dark XD
Called a mate with an Audi A8. It had enough juice to jump start my E-class XD

And that is how you learn you must buy a battery tender...
